Chris Cashin – the dietitian and sports nutritionist
Chris Cashin has been a practising dietitian for more than 25 years and her experiences include working with the NHS, the academia and an important role in a hospital.
She comes with important accreditations and certifications that include a Registered Dietitian (Health and Care Professions Council) and a Sports Nutritionist registered with the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr), Registered Nutritionist (Association for Nutrition).
Her greatest association is with Cardiff Nutrition Consultancy which Chris Cashin founded and owns CNC. She specialises in weight management, diabetes, children’s diets, allergies and of course sports nutrition. If you have IBS, Chris is able to offer an evidence-based approach to treating this difficult condition. This can also include the use of the FODMAP diet which has shown to be an effective method of alleviating the symptoms.
Chris has worked in the past for the English Institute of Sport and Sport Wales, with many of the UK’s top athletes. She also actively promotes healthy eating and is a media spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association and has appeared on local news programmes, Radio Wales, Xray and The Wales Report.

Apart from your initial assessment, Chris will develop an individual plan to help initiate your change. This may include a meal plan, a few recipes and shopping lists. Any follow-up appointments will be made based on your approvals and convenience. With acute medical illness, it may also be necessary to contact your doctor.
